Our Vision · The Big Hairy Audacious Goal

17 goals for a liveable planet. One more for a human one.

By 2030, the application of Innovation360’s thought leadership will help solve at least one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals — and name the 18th.

The 17 SDGs mapped what a liveable planet requires. In the age of machines, we believe a goal is missing: Being Human. That is our north star — and our invitation to the world.

The Big Hairy Audacious Goal

By 2030, the application of Innovation360’s thought leadership will help solve at least one of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Deliberately audacious — one goal big enough to organise a global community of Licensed Practitioners, partners and clients worldwide around a single, measurable ambition.

“The 17 SDGs mapped the planet. The 18th maps the life that makes it worth saving. In the age of machines, being human can no longer be assumed — it has to be chosen, designed and defended.”

The 18th SDG: Being Human

There are 17 goals for a liveable planet. We believe there is one more — for a human one. As artificial intelligence reshapes work, decisions and meaning, the defining question of the decade is no longer only how we keep the planet alive, but how we stay human while we do it.

Born from the Blue Marble Vision

Why we are naming an 18th SDG

The idea took shape through the Blue Marble Vision and the global Fix the Planet movement — alongside Expo 2020 Dubai, the Swedish Space Agency, and Jakob Trollbäck, the designer of the official Global Goals iconography.

It is the through-line of Innovation by Design, our book on ISO 56000 with a foreword by astronaut Christer Fuglesang: technology should expand what it means to be human, never erase it.

“Some view innovation as serendipity. We have shown, through decades of research applied in practice, that it is a capability — one that can be measured, built and aimed. If it can be aimed, it can be aimed at the goals that matter most.”
